Mr. K. D. Wickramarathne is the Senior Assistant Registrar for Library Services at the Open University of Sri Lanka, a position he has held since June 4, 2017. In this role, he manages the daily operations of the library, overseeing its services and ensuring that they align with the academic needs of the university community. His efforts focus on improving library resources and enhancing access for both staff and students.

Before joining the Open University of Sri Lanka, Mr. Wickramarathne served as the Assistant Registrar at the University of Jaffna, where he gained valuable experience in administrative leadership and management. He also worked at the University of Colombo, further expanding his expertise in higher education administration.

He holds a BSc in Management (Public) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where he studied Public Management. And completed MSSc in University of Kelaniya. Additionally, Mr. Wickramarathne has a Diploma in English and a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka.

With a solid background in management and education, Mr. Wickramarathne is dedicated to advancing the role of libraries in higher education. His vision for the future of the library at the Open University includes implementing innovative strategies to enhance learning and research resources for students and faculty alike.
